Tell us about your organisation…

Cameron Wellness Centre is a Supply Nation-registered and NDIS-registered service provider focused on providing evidence and strengths-based intervention across Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, and Allied Health Assistance for all Australians with a focus on First Nations people.

How did your organisation come to be?

Our co-founders, Reece Dumbell and Dean Sardellis realised a gap in the market between the quality of services that Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Australians receive and what they deserve.

With Reece (proud Minang Man) being involved in the health and fitness industry for over a decade, he understands the benefits of keeping your body and mind active to ensure a fuller quality of life.

Dean, a father, understands all sides of NDIS through being a carer for his son. Dean is a chartered accountant and is passionate about all things NDIS and the disability sector.

Reece and Dean with real-life experience, passion, and purpose to help all Australians with a focus on First Nations people, were motivated to establish and create Cameron Wellness Centre.

Which regions does your organisation look after?

Victoria including Geelong, Bellarine, Surf Coast, and the Melbourne metropolitan areas. The Northern Territory in Darwin.

What is your organisation’s difference?

We believe that we’re a ‘first of its kind’ in Australia being Supply Nation-registered and NDIS-registered providing Allied Health services across Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology.

We tailor our therapist’s caseload to coincide with their scope of practice and experience to maximise meaningful participant outcomes.

Our service delivery and operational framework was specifically by therapists for therapists. We utilise the social model to create a difference for all Australians with a disability. We also provide a culturally safe and supportive health service for First Nations Australians.

Finally, our senior leadership team are all therapists, and they continue to work in the NDIS space. They are close to the ground and understand the difficulties and nuances of being a therapist working within NDIS.
