How to get your invoices paid faster

How to get your invoices paid faster

NDIS payments should be simple. We believe that participants, providers and Support Coordinators, shouldn’t have to worry about when invoices will be paid.

That’s why, at myAutonomy, we make the process simple for everyone. We pay invoices quickly––send us your completed invoice by 12 pm and we’ll process it on the same day!

But how can you ensure your invoices are paid this fast? Follow our handy guide for efficient invoicing.

Completed invoices are essential

Since myAutonomy is an NDIS provider, we must comply with all NDIA requirements. One of those requirements is only processing invoices that have all the necessary information included.

Not having complete invoices can have some undesirable repercussions. Since 2022, the NDIS Compliance Review Team has been increasing invoice reviews––looking out for anything that appears unusual or incorrect.

This has meant some providers have been required to return money sometimes an entire year after the event. It’s something that puts unnecessary stress and financial strain on all parties.

What we do to help

To protect providers and participants, we perform internal risk evaluations. This helps ensure that invoices will be approved down the line and there will be no nasty surprises for anyone.

To complete this evaluation, we may ask for more information to ensure the Compliance Review Team agrees that the appropriate use of funds has occurred.

How to provide complete invoices

Complete invoices include all the necessary information to satisfy our review team. This includes details such as the hours worked, ABN, the services provided, and the rates being charged.

To have your invoices paid faster, we recommend using our checklist below to ensure you’ve included all the necessary information.

Or, for best practices, use our handy invoice template. This can be edited and saved for future reference.

Invoice checklist

The full business name
The participant’s name and NDIS number
A clear description of services provided
The relevant NDIS item code for each service
A breakdown of hours worked per person each day
Specific dates and times that services were provided
