Provider Spotlight: onPsych
Gaining access to mental health services can be just as essential as those addressing physical health. onPsych is a provider helping NDIS participants gain the support and care they need to improve their well-being.
Their mission is to ensure all Australians have access to high-quality mental health services regardless of when or where it’s needed.
We spoke to the team to discover more about their offering.
Tell us in a few words, who are onPsych?
onPsych is Australia’s largest provider of NDIS and Medicare-funded school-based psychology services using registered clinical psychologists, psychologists, accredited mental health social workers, and counsellors.
onPsych staff have provided over 4.5 million client sessions over the past 15 years.
We work in many community settings and deal with a range of disorders––anxiety, depression, eating, grief, behavioural and self-harm––through extensive mental health services. Our services include NDIS, drop-in centres, psychoeducation, assessments and more.
How did OnPsych come to be?
Martin Grigg, onPsych’s National Director, was a psychologist in the Department of Education. He saw the need for family and community-inclusive mental health services in schools and the broader community that was accessible and available for no out-of-pocket costs.
Which regions does OnPsych service?
We offer face-to-face services in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane many regional areas in VIC, NSW and QLD. We also offer Australia-wide telehealth services.
What is the OnPsych difference?
We’re helping ensure all Australians can access qualified psychologists for mental health support when it’s needed.
Do you have capacity?
Yes, we have immediate availability to support NDIS participants via face-to-face support (in metropolitan areas), and online support (Australia-wide) for the many services including:
- Assessments: including cognitive, clinical diagnostic, mental health, academic, adaptive behaviour and more.
- Behavioural specialist support: including the development of support plans and positive behaviour support.
- Therapeutic and counselling: including improved daily living, improved relationships, health and wellbeing, and life skills development.
- NDIS specialist support coordination: including managing life stages, transitions, and employment support.
