Provider Spotlight: Scope
Everyone deserves to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. To ensure that happens, some NDIS providers offer highly personalized experiences to help participants get the most out of their treatment.
Scope Group avoids a cookie-cutter approach to ensure that participants receive the dedicated and relevant support they need to meet their goals and live a meaningful life.
We spoke to the team at Scope to explore more about the services they offer.
Tell us about your organisation…
Scope Group is one of the largest not-for-profit disability service providers in Australia, supporting thousands of people with complex intellectual, physical, and multiple disabilities.
We provide Supported Independent Living, social connections, day programs, therapy, employment services, Short Term Accommodation and assistance.
At Scope, it’s all about participants and their needs. It’s never a one-size-fits-all solution. We are passionate about providing high-quality support that’s individualised for participant’s needs and goals.
How did your organisation come to be?
Scope was founded 75 years ago, by families who wanted better support for their children with cerebral palsy.
From our first days in 1949, when courageous and determined parents demanded something very different for their children than was common practice at that time, we’ve grown to become one of Australia’s largest service providers.
Today, we’re Scope Group, having welcomed Home@Scope and Disability Services Australia to our operations.
Which regions does your organisation look after?
We operate across Victoria and New South Wales through over 425 service locations.
What is your organisation’s difference in the market?
Scope is committed to shaping a positive future alongside the people we support. Our clients and disability support workforce are at the heart of everything we do.
It is important to express our appreciation for and acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our service delivery teams who continue to put Scope’s purpose, vision and values into practice every day.
By keeping our clients – their voices, needs and aspirations at our core – we can continue to deliver outstanding services and support for them and their families.
