Providers we know in Geelong
If you’ve come across our articles before, you’ll know that at myAutonomy we love to celebrate NDIS providers doing great things for participants.
Whether that’s offering individualised support, holistic services, or care that goes above and beyond, we’ve come across many wonderful providers who make a difference in the community every day.
Recently we’ve connected with several providers from Geelong. Here we’re bringing them together into one guide, to help those in the region find the right support. Let’s take a look.
Forbes Allied Services
Forbes is committed to providing person-centred support to individuals with complex needs and disabilities.
The organisation offers community support work, psychosocial recovery coaching, level 2 and 3 support coordination, behaviour support, psychology, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
Setting themselves apart, Forbes understands that every person is unique, they therefore focus on offering services that are tailored to specific needs and goals.
Cameron Wellness Centre
Cameron Wellness Centre is an NDIS registered service provider focused on providing evidence and strengths-based intervention across Occupational Therapy, Speech
Pathology, and Allied Health Assistance for all Australians––with a focus on First Nations people.
The organisation began when the founders realised a gap in the market between the quality
of services that Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Australians receive and what they deserve.
To offer the best possible service, Cameron Wellness tailors therapists’ caseloads to coincide with their scope of practice and experience to maximise meaningful participant outcomes.
Geronimo Allied Health
Geronimo provides capacity-building supports for participants of the NDIS through focusing on skill development and meaningful participation.
The organisation has a team of Occupational Therapists and Support Coordinators who work collaboratively to support participants to achieve their goals.
They have a small and passionate team who are always looking for ways to best meet the needs of participants.
Satellite Support Services
Satellite offers support for self-managed and plan-managed participants specialising in home and living support needs.
The organisation is dedicated to guiding and connecting participants to disability supports that meet their needs and budget while helping them navigate what can feel like a complex system.
Director and Support Coordinator, Amanda McRae, worked at the NDIA for more than six years, so she has a unique, in-depth knowledge of the sector.
Edge Community Services
EDGE specialises in providing innovative centre-based day programs and short-term accommodation.
The provider strives to provide social and skill-building opportunities through an individualised, and strength-based approach. The programs are tailored to reflect participant interests and meet individual participant support needs within the context of a group setting.
The team at EDGE also goes above and beyond to meet the support needs of each individual participant.
