Provider Spotlight: Beyond Disability Services

Gaining access to respite care or day programs can be valuable for those who experience disability.

Beyond Disability Services offers participants the chance to access services outside of their homes to boost their quality of life and help them build new skills.

We spoke to the team at Beyond Disability Services to learn more about what they offer.

Who are Beyond Disability Services?

Beyond Disability Services offers respite, day programs and camps for individuals with a disability. Beyond Disability Services is committed to creating a safe comfortable environment where the individual will feel at home.

Beyond Disability Services offers:

  • Day program (Adults)

  • Saturday program (Kids)

  • Respite – Bacchus Marsh and Cairnlea

  • Respite in Bacchus Marsh which provides participants a self-contained unit with 1:1 care. This includes a long list of activities and outings to partake in and the price is all-inclusive.

  • Bi-weekly dance parties

  • Monthly camps

How did Beyond Disability Services come to be?

We have a family member who has been impacted by disability who we have been advocating for on his behalf for the past 25 years.

At times this was a real struggle especially when consistently dealing with services that could not help or improve his situation.

We made the decision to open up Beyond Disability Services in 2021 to support families who care for a person with a disability like our family member who struggled to find suitable programs and respite for their loved ones.

What is the Beyond Disability Services difference?

Most of our team has lived experience with a family member who has a disability. We understand that entrusting us to care for your loved ones is a great responsibility. We are a small boutique provider which allows us to provide a customised service to each of our participants.

Our goal is to provide a family-oriented service where both families and participants look forward to spending time with us and are confident that we will provide the utmost care. All our Support Workers are part of the Beyond family and we do not use any agency staff.
