Provider Spotlight: Care Squared Kids
For young people, access to the right NDIS healthcare services can be critical. After discovering a gap in care, provider Care Squared Kids was founded to support young people and their families.
We spoke to Sarah Samuel, Psychologist Team Manager for Care Squared Kids to learn more about how they help.
Who is Care Squared Kids?
Care Squared Kids is an NDIS national paediatric multidisciplinary allied health service. Care Squared Kids provides psychology, behaviour support, occupational therapy, speech pathology, physiotherapy and exercise physiology services all under one roof.
We provide assessments, reporting, holistic support, ongoing intervention, groups, school holiday programs and much more!
How did Care Squared Kids come to be?
Care Squared Kids was founded to fill a huge gap in allied health services targeted specifically towards children and teens.
With childhood being such a critical time of development, we recognised that having specific holistic services is important to help children and their families improve outcomes.
Sarah, can you provide more about your role within Care Squared Kids?
I’m a Paediatric Registered Psychologist at Care Squared Kids. I provide assessments to our families, including cognitive assessments (IQ), ASD assessments, ADHD assessments, learning disorder assessments and more.
I also provide intervention services for children working on a range of difficulties ranging from social skills to emotional regulation. I love making psychology a creative, fun and beneficial interaction for children, which starts their journey with allied health professionals positively!
Which regions does Care Squared Kids service?
We have clinicians Australia-wide including Victoria, NSW, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.
We provide services in the community, in-home, through teletherapy, and in-office depending on location. We’re also passionate about servicing rural and under-serviced areas. We run frequent outreach projects to rural areas to ensure that all children can access the services they deserve.
What’s the Care Squared Kids difference?
The Care Squared Kids difference is our clinicians. They’re not just extensively trained but are very passionate about seeing successful outcomes for children across the nation.
We also pride ourselves on our coordinated care approach, which enables a team of multi-disciplinary clinicians to provide an increased level of support –– you gain a team backing you and your family, not just one clinician!
Do you have capacity?
Absolutely. We have capacity for services face-to-face and through teletherapy.
