Provider Spotlight: Simply Stronger Exercise Physiology
Physical activity can play a critical role in the quality of life for NDIS participants. At Simply Stronger Exercise Physiology, the goal is to help participants get the most out of their bodies so that they can live their best lives.
At myAutonomy, we enjoy highlighting providers who assist participants in increasing their capacity and improving their movement. We spoke to the team to learn more about the supports they offer.
Tell us about your organisation…
Simply Stronger is an exercise physiology business where we help people to move with confidence. Through the medium of exercise prescription, Simply Stronger provides participants with the support, guidance and knowledge needed to get the most out of their bodies.
For NDIS participants, we offer one-on-one movement and exercise sessions and four-on-one group exercise sessions alongside personalised exercise plans.
We also develop exercise programs to be completed outside of Simply Stronger. Some NDIS participants choose to exercise independently using the program we develop, while others benefit from a support worker to help them exercise. This approach works really well for people who want to exercise with our guidance but don’t necessarily need us to oversee their exercise sessions.
How did your organisation come to be?
Simply Stronger was created for clients to build on their understanding of the purpose of exercise to support their bodies, in a relaxed and professional environment.
The goal has always been to have a space where anyone can attend, and everyone feels at home.
Beginning with a strong and stable base, each exercise program is personalised to support our clients in understanding the power that exercise can have. Ultimately, helping everyone to build a positive relationship with movement and exercise.
Which regions does your organisation look after?
Simply Stronger is located in Caulfield North.
Many of our clients will come to us, however, we do offer home visits for those who live within 5km of our studio.
What is your organisation’s difference in the market?
At Simply Stronger we aim to make everyone feel at home.
We work hard to make our space as accessible as possible. This goes beyond ramps and our accessible bathroom––we have many features for our low vision clients, our exercise equipment has all been hand-picked to make use as easy as possible and we even have a second exercise space that is ideal for clients wanting some privacy or just a little bit of quiet while they exercise.
We are here to help everyone have the opportunity to exercise.
