Why it’s necessary to endorse your NDIS providers

Why it’s necessary to endorse your NDIS providers

With the rollout of PACE, we’ve had various questions coming through about the new system and ways of working. As we all grapple with the changes, we want to provide as much information as possible to ensure you (and your participants) can still make the most of your plan.

We covered some key information about PACE in these articles, for example, PACE: observations and suggestions, What you need to know about PACE: Part 1, and Part 2.

Here, we’re looking at ‘endorsing’ or ‘recording’ providers: what it means and why it matters. Let’s take a look.

What is ‘endorsing’ or ‘recording’ a provider?

Within the new PACE system, there is a ‘My Providers’ section. This section is for a list of the providers that you typically work with and access your plan details. For example, that’s a Support Coordinator, Plan Manager or providers that need to access agency managed funds in your plan.

Endorsing your providers by adding them to the list, enables them to get paid faster.

To have providers in PACE they need to be manually recorded or endorsed by you. Recording and endorsing mean the same thing.

What providers do I need to endorse?

If your NDIS plan is on PACE, the NDIA requires participants to record the following, as ‘my providers’:

  • plan managers

  • support coordinators

  • recovery coaches

  • behaviour support

  • specialist disability accommodation

  • home and living supports

  • agency managed reports

That means if you’re with myAutonomy Plan Management it’s necessary to add us as a provider on your list. (If you’re unsure how we are only a call away!)

You can find out more information about recording providers via the

How do you record myAutonomy as one of ‘my providers’?

To record myAutonomy as one of ‘my providers’, just follow these steps:
  1. Make sure the details you have for myAutonomy Plan Management is correct, including our NDIS number, which is 4050064372.

  2. Talk to your Planner or Local Area Coordinator at any time – or get in touch with the NDIS national contact centre on 1800 800 110 to let them know your choices. You can also share your choices at your planning meeting, plan implementation meeting, or during a check-in.

To make endorsement a little bit easier, we’ve created a form that allows you to endorse myAutonomy Plan Management as your plan manager. Just fill in this form and give it to your Planner or Local Area Coordinator.

Does this process replace service bookings?

If you’re on PACE, the short answer is yes! This process enables participants to have greater control of who their funds are used by.

Once your providers are listed, claims and payments will be quicker and service bookings won’t be necessary.
